Ayurvedic Treatment for Hair Loss
Ayurvedic treatment is a traditional medicine which first flourished in India 5,000 years ago. The term comes from two Sanskrit terms: ayu (life) and veda (science). Ayurvedic treatment for hair loss involves the use of various herbs and interferes with the nutrition intake. Ayurveda considers hair loss to be triggered by stress, emotional trauma, unreasonable distress, sudden blood loss, or excessive sexual activity.
For patients with vatta constitutions, the hair is described to be fine, soft and will also likely start to grey at an early stage in life. It said that dry skin, insomnia, constipation, anxiety, and poor digestion are the chief reasons vatta individuals lose their hair. Eating dairy foods, onion, eggs, almonds, garlic, and sesame seeds is advised as treatment for hair loss.
