The LEIMO Personal Hair Laser is the only medical device included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods as a Class IIa medical device with the intended purpose of treating people with mild to moderate Androgenic or Androgenetic Alopecia (Male or Female pattern baldness). Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)
Low Level Laser Therapy has been used in Europe for over 20 years and has been the subject of numerous studies with over 2,500 scientific papers published worldwide. Many long-term clinical research programs internationally have shown that Photo-biostimulation of LLLT gives numerous positive effects to living cells with no reported side effects.
Low Level Lasers "energize" the tissue since light is a form of energy. For example, laser light on scalp and hair follicles provides high levels of light which are used by the cells in the scalp and hair to assist in the normal chemical processes performed by those cells. This is referred to as "Photo-biostimulation."
The process of photo-biostimulation is like the process of photosynthesis, whereby plants converts energy in sunlight to chemical forms of energy, for food and growth. In a similar way, laser penetrates into soft tissue and increases the action of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), a molecule that is a major carrier of energy from one reaction site to another in all living cells. By doing so, laser light increases the energy available to cells so they take in nutrients faster and get rid of waste products.
Light Emitting Diode Therapy (LEDT)
LEDT is a form of phototherapy which involves the application of non-coherent low power monochromatic light to injured lesions to stimulate self-healing by the human body. Hair & Scalp Restoration
For many years, doctors in Europe and the USA have used LLLT and LEDT in the treatment of hair and scalp problems. Traditionally, LLLT is administrated in a clinic, which is very expensive. Today with the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser, you can enjoy the full benefit of both LLLT and LEDT for hair & scalp restoration at a fraction of the cost.
How to use
Press the On/Off switch to turn the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser On. Rest the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser (laser window facing the scalp) on the scalp. After ten (5 - 20) seconds, step the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser approx 1 cm to the next part of the scalp and complete the process again. Repeat until the whole scalp (not just the affected area) has received the laser treatment. Once the scalp area has been covered, return the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser to the charging cradle. The laser should be kept in the cradle when not in use. The cradle should be On at all times to maintain battery life and to keep the laser charged. Please check the indicator lamp is On to ensure the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser is connected. Note that when the laser is fully charged, the indicator light will change from RED to GREEN.
A safety feature of the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser is that it will automatically turn Off ten (10) minutes after being switched On. There is no need to extend beyond the ten (10) minute application unless you missed a treatment. If you missed a session, then add ten (10) minutes to your next treatment. A maximum total of 70 minutes of treatment is recommended each week.
As the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser is a cold beam laser, it is perfectly safe to use. Some users experience a tingling sensation when using the Laser, which is a normal experience.
Laser Care Instructions
Before using the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser: Connect the power adaptor to the charging cradle and plug the adaptor into the power outlet. The light on the charging cradle will turn green when it is On. Place the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser into the charging cradle. The indicator light will glow red when the unit is charging and glow green when the unit is fully charged. It takes approximately ten (10) hours to charge the LEIMO Personal Hair Laser before you can use it. To check that the laser is charged, press the On/Off switch indicated at the back of the laser device. The LEIMO Personal Hair Laser is ready for use when a blue light appears on the On/Off panel and the LED lights are red at the front of the laser.
Safe Usage
Please ensure you keep your LEIMO Personal Hair Laser clean by wiping with a dry cloth. The LEIMO Personal Hair Laser is to be used only for the treatment of your hair and scalp. As with any therapy, if you are receiving any other treatments or suffer from any conditions, then please consult your personal health caregiver before beginning treatment.
